| I seem to be tinkering with this one a lot over the years. Its had several different rig configurations, and recently I made the keel a few inches shallower (the pic shows its current state) I've also learned a lot about how to make a boat sail really well by having the rig significantly farther forward (toward the bow) than the keel. This compensates for a tendency, that any boat has, to head into the wind when driven hard in a strong breeze. Words can't describe the pleasure to be had with a really well balanced boat that goes wherever you point it without making a fuss with the rudder. |
