Strange little paintings |
| Since the summer of 2001, I've been doing these really small pictures. I like working small because I find it easier to be whimsical and playful. When I did big pictures I felt burdened by the seriousness of Art. Also I'm running out of space in my studio space so the small ones take up less space. They are pretty much all done on little blocks of wood. I also like the Idea that every single image is a new adventure. I get bored doing the same thing over and over. The Ideas for them mostly come from being bored at my job, and each Idea I jot down and memorize for use when I get home. |
